Guide to Making a Claim with Deacon
If you need to make a claim under your buildings insurance policy arranged by Deacon, there are several ways to notify us:
- Call our Claims Department on 01202 449611 between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours, your call will be redirected to our out-of-hours claims service. In most cases, we are able to set up your claim immediately and offer you as much assistance as possible and guide you through the claims process

Once we’ve received the initial notification of your claim, we will:
- Set up your claim on our system and provide you with your claim reference number
- Inform you of who will be your dedicated claims handler and provide you with their direct contact details
- Instruct the services of an approved contractor or loss adjuster immediately if this is required
- Inform you of what needs to happen next to progress your claim
- Keep you fully informed throughout every stage of your claim
